Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 August 2026
This policy explains how Yunique AI ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use this website, complete the CLEAR Assessment, or purchase a CLEAR Clarity Session. We act as the data controller for that information.
Data we collect
- Assessment participants: first name, last name, email address, and company or organisation name, together with your answers and resulting AI Defensibility Score and maturity band.
- Marketing consent: whether you opted in to occasional AI governance insights, and if so, the time and version of the consent wording you agreed to.
- Clarity Session purchases: billing name, email, company, billing country, order reference, amount paid, and payment status. Card details are entered directly with our payment provider and are never stored by us.
- Technical data: a secure assessment token stored in your browser so you can resume or return to your results, and standard server logs needed to operate and secure the service.
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
Why we use it and our legal basis
- To deliver your assessment results and any purchased Clarity Session — performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to your request.
- To send optional AI governance insights — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To take payment, issue receipts, and meet tax and accounting obligations — contract and legal obligation.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse — legitimate interests.
Your assessment results are educational and diagnostic. They are not legal advice, an audit, certification, or independent assurance.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers (subprocessors) who process it on our behalf under contract. We do not sell personal data. Where data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Subprocessors
The providers below handle personal data for the purposes shown. Each has a Data Processing Addendum or equivalent contractual safeguards in place.
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Lovable | Application hosting, database, and auth infrastructure |
| Make | Workflow automation, confirmation emails, and invoice delivery |
| Stripe | Payment processing, tax calculation, and receipts |
| Kit | Email list management and unsubscribe processing |
How long we keep it
Assessment records and results are retained for up to 24 months so we can support you and provide follow-up guidance, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Marketing consent records are kept for as long as you remain subscribed, plus a reasonable period afterwards as proof of consent. Purchase and payment records are kept for 7 years to meet accounting and tax requirements.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw marketing consent at any time. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and withdrawing consent does not affect your assessment results.
To exercise any right, email info@yuniqueai.com. We will respond within one month. If you are in the UK you may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); in the EEA, to your local supervisory authority.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in an access-controlled database with row-level security. Access is limited to those who need it to run the service, and payment card data never reaches our systems.
Children
This service is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
